The OSCE Minsk Group mediators to visit the region this week

ArmInfo.Mr. Andrew J. Schofer, the new U.S. Co- Chair for the OSCE Minsk Group, will pay his first visit to Yerevanand Baku this week to meet with local  officials and to get a firsthand look at the situation on the ground.  Whilein the region, Mr. Schofer will also join his fellow Minsk Group Co-Chairs for high-level meetings.

ArmInfo.There is nothing new or urgent in the elements announced by the US Co-Chair of the OSCE Minsk Group Richard Hoagland to resolve the Karabakh conflict. Armenian Foreign Ministry spokesman Tigran Balayan stated this in a conversation with ArmInfo correspondent. Note that on the eve of late at night, the outgoing US Co-Chair of the OSCE Minsk Group, Richard Hoagland (who will be replaced by Charge d'Affaires at the US Mission to the International Organizations in Vienna, Andrew Chauffer), published 6 elements on the settlement of the Karabakh conflict.

ArmInfo. Meeting of OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov on Karabakh settlement was very productive, US Co-Chair of OSCE Minsk Group James Warlick said in an interview to Interfax. According to him, there are certain terms of the settlement but Armenia and  Azerbaijan's Presidents lack political will to achieve progress. We  have discussed these terms with Lavrov as well as the ways of working  with the sides for reaching peaceful settlement of the conflict, he  noted, adding that the USA, Russia and France are on the same page on  the issue.
